MarketSapien Privacy Policy

The short version

The iOS and Android apps collect nothing at all. They ship every lesson inside the app, make no network request of any kind, have no sign-in and no account, and transmit nothing about you. There is no analytics, no advertising identifier and no crash reporting.

On the web product you can also use MarketSapien without an account. If you choose to create one there, we collect your email address and which tier you are entitled to. That is the complete list.

We do not collect financial information, because there is none to collect. Every instrument in MarketSapien is fictional and all trading is on paper with imaginary capital. We hold no brokerage connection, no portfolio data and no market data.

Using MarketSapien without an account

MarketSapien opens straight into the lessons. You can play scenarios, make predictions and complete lessons without signing in. Your progress is stored on your own device and is not transmitted to us. In the mobile apps this is the ONLY mode — there is no other.

If you clear your browser or app storage, or uninstall the app, guest progress is deleted with it. We cannot restore it because we never received it.

If you create an account

Accounts exist on the WEB PRODUCT ONLY. The mobile apps have no account and no sign-in. On the web, an account exists for one reason: so your progress persists across devices and so we can tell whether you have access to the free tier or the full catalog. Creating one is optional.

When you create an account we collect your email address, a credential, your entitlement tier and the date the account was created. We also store your learning progress so it can follow you between devices.

We do not collect your name, your age, your location, your contacts, your photos, your device identifiers for advertising, or any financial account information.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not use third-party advertising networks and we serve no ads.

We do not use third-party analytics or behavioral tracking software. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not participate in cross-application tracking of any kind.

We do not connect to market-data providers. MarketSapien uses no live market feed, so no third party receives any signal about what you look at or when.

Deleting your account and your data

Because the mobile apps hold no account and no data on our systems, there is nothing there to delete — uninstalling removes the on-device progress. On the web product you can delete your account at any time, in Settings. Deleting the account removes your email address, your credential, your entitlement record and your stored progress from our systems.

Deletion is available in the app itself and does not require you to contact us, send an email, or visit a website to complete it.

Children

MarketSapien is rated 17+ and is intended for adults. It covers trading and financial decision-making and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

MarketSapien teaches age-laddered material as a pedagogical structure. That structure is a teaching device and does not make the product a children's product or a marketed offering to minors.

How your information is held

Account information is held only for as long as the account exists. When you delete the account, the record is removed.

Access to account records is restricted to the operation of the service — resolving your entitlement and restoring your progress.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect rather than relying on you to re-read this page.
